About Just Creations

Just Creations is a not-for-profit Fair Trade store that has been providing unique, handmade products to the Louisville Community since 1990. In addition to selling products to provide support to artisans and farmers worldwide, we educate the public about Fair Trade through our educational outreach and community engagement programs. We invest in people and build relationships with like-minded organizations, trading partners, and individuals to create change around the world.

The name, “Just Creations,” was chosen to reflect our mission of “justice” as it is lived out through Fair Trade and the sale of the “creations” of talented artisans from around the world.

Our Vision

A fair and just world where all communities of artisans and farmers, as well as those who support them,

are empowered to achieve stability and prosperity.

Our Mission

Just Creations is a values-driven marketplace that advocates for marginalized communities of artisans and farmers

through promotion of Fair Trade and social justice.

Our Values

Respect for Individuals by ensuring all people are treated justly and provided abundant opportunities.

Respect for Creative Spirit and Cultural Identity by promoting products that reflect traditional methods, materials, and beliefs.

Respect for Earth through sustainable practices in our store and with our partners.

Respect for Community by advocating for connectivity and understanding of those around us, both here and abroad.

Our History

Just Creations opened its doors for operation in April 1990 as an outgrowth of Covenant Crafts, a store of similar nature whose proprietors were moving on in their ministry. St. William Catholic Community decided it was within their mission as a peacemaking community to keep the store going and provided some of the initial seed money, volunteers, and Board members to establish Just Creations.

Since that time, Just Creations, separately incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation, has broadened its outreach to include the entire Louisville Community. We are proud of our roots and invite all people to become a part of the Fair Trade movement.
